Promise Robotics partners with D.R. Horton on physical AI for homebuilding

Promise Robotics · Promise Robotics

10 Sec Scan

Promise Robotics signed a multi-year agreement with D.R. Horton to use its Factory-as-a-Service platform to produce more than 1,250 U.S. homes.

What Changed

The multi-year agreement brings Promise Robotics’ platform to its first major U.S. homebuilder, with more than 1,250 homes covered by the deal.

The Signal

Homebuilders face persistent housing demand, labor shortages, and rising costs. Promise Robotics says integrated robotic production can improve cycle times, expand capacity, and make construction more predictable while accommodating different home designs.

60 Sec Understand

D.R. Horton is the first major U.S. homebuilder to adopt Promise Robotics’ Factory-as-a-Service platform. The platform connects home-design interpretation and production planning with robotic manufacturing and onsite installation. Promise Robotics says its software accommodates varying designs, components, and local building codes rather than requiring identical homes. The company is setting up initial facilities in Edmonton, Calgary, and Phoenix, with its own crews operating the systems. Its model gives builders access to production infrastructure without developing and operating it themselves.
